What a carby this is. I do feel that some experience would be required to dismantle and re-assemble one of these correctly, escpecially the step-up rod.
To remove the accelerator pump along with the bits that belong to it, just hit the top of the plunger with a punch and hammer. This will push the bottom cap and everything else out the bottom. Just make sure you catch everything as it flies out. Re-assemble with the new parts the same as it came out. The step-up rod needs to be removed from the diaphram as a new diaphram is included in the kit. Measure precisely where the rod sits in relation to the diaphram stem and recrimp in that position. Careful removing it, as it is quite easy to bend. Set the float level just a shade lower than parallel with the top surface. Carby kit is Fuelmiser CA-152. Unfortunately the correct base gasket is not supplied in the kit. The correct gasket is graphite coated and thicker than standard gaskets. If you want the service manual here it is- RBS Service Manual.
